Tilt-shift miniature faking is a process in which a photograph of a life-size location or object is manipulated so that it looks like a photograph of a miniature scale model. By distorting the focus of the photo, the artist simulates the shallow depth of field normally encountered with macro lenses making the scene seem much smaller than it actually is. Many miniature faked photographs are taken from a high angle to further simulate the effect of looking down on a miniature. Objects oriented horizontally, such as the train in the first example, make better subjects for tilt-shift miniature faking than vertically oriented objects.

Im just curious. Are you having just pictures done, video or both? Why or why not.

Im sure its pricey.

With today’s technology, there are now low end camcorders with 60GB hard disks. They can record at high resolution for 7 hours! The entire length of your wedding and reception can virtually be covered.

With the higher end camcorders, you can record your wedding and reception in High Definition!

We had our wedding video recorded. A friend of ours did this as a gift to us. What a blessing.

At first we would watch our first dance. Then later, we would watch our friends watching our first dance. Then we started looking for our friends and relatives just to see where they were. The video is so clear. This made the whole process fun!

We watched our ceremony. Our wedding went by so quickly. We’re glad that we have it on video. We could see the reaction of friends and relatives as well as the wedding party while the pastor gave his message.

Some of the scenes were so precious and unique that we used a video software program to convert those to photos!

It’s worth it! If you can’t hire a professional, see if any of your friends or relatives have the hard disk based camcorders and go for it! You won’t regret it.

We also had 6 friends of ours take photos of our wedding. They all had high end equipment. It was obvious they took their photography hobby seriously.

I recommend that you have photos taken too.

With photos and a videos, you will complete more of the puzzle. Believe me when I tell you, your wedding will go by so fast. It will be a blur. If you have photos and videos you will be able to capture those moments of this very special time in your life.

I create digital videos for anniversaries, sports banquets, etc and need to find an inexpensive way to advertise. I also do photo restoration and things related to digital photography. I do have a website but who do get people to it?

I prefer still photography and brands of sony or panasonic and dont want to spend more than $600

well, I am a Sony enthusiast so my answer is going to be bias. SONY ! And for good reasons. It is stylish. Very user friendly. On camera and off camera. Meaning things like assessories and options when you want to expand your hobby. It allows you flexibility and mobility in using and capturing images. Having a great camera is a start, the next thing you would need is a great software to organize and edit. For starters get the picasa for free, download from http://www.geocities.com/lcming/Digitalphotography there is also a free software to help you resize or down size your photos when you need to. Picasa has the best straightening tool if you ask me. Beats Adobe.
