Is videography still a popular thing?
I can’t decide if I want to get a videographer or not. Will I regret not getting one later? We also discussed renting a video booth to let people take turns sitting in and leaving us a personal message… we just aren’t sure which route to take.
i asked the same questions when i was organising my photography/videography – i went with a better photographer- reason being – how many times do you show your wedding photos in comparison to your video? I would show my photos A LOT more than my video.. choice became clear.. friend is recording the ceremony professional photographer doing the photos
what questions should you ask when getting at wedding videography?
I do wedding videos. Check out our blog. In one of our previous post I talk about question important to ask. I hope it helps.
Is the Travel Channel Academy for videography worth $2500?
I saw the commercial on the travel channel and the class is only four days long. They’re teaching a video course but would like to know from other people or experienced videographers is this worth the money. Of course their website only shows happy customers but I would like to know the real truth or opinions from others. http://www.travelchannel.com/Academy/Academy_Home
Gosh, almost every community college offers video and media production classes for very little money from well qualified instructors. In fact you can learn a lot just by visiting a college bookstore and picking up a video class textbook to read. Real legit operations pay their interns, not charge them! this is a real rip.

I’m looking for some dramatic, emotional love songs for my wedding videography. I was wondering if anyone?
suggest some beautiful, meaningful, more modern music I could use for the slideshow and video of my wedding. I like acoustic but also a lot of different genres of music, but I was hoping to find more modern music to use. Some songs we’ve already chosen are Thank You By Chris Cornell, Shelter by Ray LaMontagne and Across The Universe by Rufus Wainwright. Any other really beautiful love songs you can suggest?
Below is slideshow songs suggestions list, see if there is any song you will like.

Any tips on how to save on photography and videography?
I don’t want to trust them to a friend or relative and want a professional… just wondering if I’m missing any loopholes on how to save.
Everywhere I look it’s over $3000 for photography and close to that for videography… anyone have any advice on how and where to get a professional for less?
Thank you!!
I was lucky enough to find someone who had been an intern and was just starting out on her own. I got a deal at like half the normal rate.
We did not video at all.
I know that numerous people are going to say to just use the disposable cameras, but I’ll tell you honestly, it’s just not the same (usually).
Your photos are going to be what you have to remember the little moments from. In 15 years, they will remind you of things you had forgotten.
I always urge people to spend on the photography rather than fancy flowers, chair covers, and other things that no one will remember.
A beautiful dinner with a nice glass of wine, a beautiful dress, and your closest family and friends are all you need. So, spend the money on the photographer and cut someplace else. : )
I need ideas for a videography project?
OK, so we have to film a scene from a movie, I expect to have 3-6 actors on hand, any suggestion for an EPIC scene from any movie?
The ending of Fight Club is a good one, all standing the building watching the surrounding blow up.
Professional Videography : Suggestions on 2nd camcorder to compliment a Canon Xh A1?
Hi I’m starting an event videography business. Ideally I would like to have three camcorders for different angles. I plan on using a Canon XH A1 as my primary camcorder and using two Canon Hv20’s as my secondary and third camcorders. I know that the HV20 has one ccd and the XH A1 has three ccd’s. Do you think splicing footage between these different camcorders would be problematic or should the quality of the image blend fairly well? At the most I could purchase two Canon XH A1 camcorders, leaving me with only a two angle setup. My other option is to purchase one Canon XH A1 as a primary and two Canon HV20’s as a secondary/third, and thus having a three camcorder setup. What are your opinions/advice on these options? Other feasible options/alternatives?
Thanks
I doubt most people will notice or care. Especially if you shoot it right. You do cut aways to something else then back to another angle of the first shot and no one notices any different. YOu do dissolves and no one notices.
Unfortunately you’re not going to have the in camera control you need on a shot by shot basis without going to the XL2s are you mutliple cameras.
So you will have to work with the editing software.
Has anyone ever done the Real Gap paid diving course (videography) with Real Gap, if so what is it like?
