“Our two friends were getting married, and they asked us to make a music video for them to play at their wedding. So here it is…another “cute” one, heh. 2 days to shoot because they drove down for a weekend to shoot. This one really pushed us, but it’s always worth it in the end. People say it reminds them of the Daniel Powter video…but for the record, we made it before we saw it. hehe. Either way, hope you enjoy it!

THE SPARE – Wong Fu Productions
The Spare is a short narrative that evolved from the idea of a simple phone conversation. Essentially, it is a brief glimpse of two people’s lives as we see them in everyday life. The Spare reveals a playful, endearing, and realistic relationship between a young couple as they have a casual conversation. Produced as a part of a collective series called The One Days: HK, this short shows real people in familiar and commonplace Hong Kong surroundings. Shot in one day in Tseung Kwan O.
Written/Directed by Wesley Chan
Featuring Helen Ma and Kinson Tam
Music by Philip Wang
The Spare will be showing at the 2008 San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival on March 15 as part of the “Actually Love” program. For details visit:
