Ok quick question on photography and video alone for the wedding how much did most ppl pay?
A lot will depend on your location… New York will be more expensive than Las Vegas – If you live in a larger city… you might consider getting a photographer from out in the Burbs – that will drive into the city… In the Austin TX area – $2200 is about average for an experenced / dependable photograher or team… Below $1500 may not have all the experence / equipment / reputation etc… Good luck -

I paid about $1,100 in 1992 for the pictures and about $600 for the video. Good luck.

I had my cousin who is a professional photographer do my photos for the price of the film.
We didn’t have video :0(
See if there are any photographers that will give you a discount for allowing some sort of advertisement at your reception (maybe on of there cards in with your favors) or a mention in your program or something…
Ask friends and family and coworkers if they know anyone who is aphotographer.

As of right now, I dont think Im having a video and if I do than it will be a family just video taping. My cousins wife is a prof. photographer, so she is doing our pics for free, with a digital camera that she’s putting our memory card in and afterwards we pay for whatever pics we choose to print.

I think it depends on how experienced the person doing this.
Insist on seeing other work they have done.
don’t pay over $3000 for both. Unless of course you can afford it and how experienced the person is.

$1199 + tax for two photographers for 8 hours and all the photos signed over to us so we can have them printed wherever. Also included is one photoalbum (storyboard style, I think).
After looking around, it was the best deal we could find.

Videos in my area are $700+ and I personally dont think it’s worth it.
Have the MOH take a video on your camcorder, thats free!
